Description

As a Senior Director of Accounting, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting and accounting practices. You will collaborate with senior leadership to support financial planning and strategic initiatives, manage external audits, and oversee tax compliance. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to driving process improvements and operational efficiency.

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth audits and timely resolution of findings.
• Manage tax compliance, including tax provision, transfer pricing, and R&D tax credits, in collaboration with external consultants.
• Implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and scalability of accounting operations.
• Evaluate and integrate accounting software and tools to streamline processes and improve productivity.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5 years in public accounting and 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience leading and building accounting teams through public offerings and complex financial processes.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting, with familiarity in IFRS being a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of driving process improvements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Infor CSI is beneficial.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
