As we continue to support growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager your entrepreneurial mindset will focus on delivering products that meet our customer’s needs.

Position Summary:

As the Senior Director of Product Management, you will lead the product management function for Panopto, overseeing a core product with several add-on modules. You will manage a team of five direct reports and will be responsible for driving the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution of product initiatives that align with our business goals. Your entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills will focus on delivering products that meet our customers' needs and drive business growth.

Leadership & Strategy:

Develop and execute a comprehensive product vision and strategy for Panopto's core product and its add-on modules. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Conduct regular roadmap processes that drive top-line revenue growth and ensure customer retention.

Product & Roadmap:

Develop and execute a comprehensive product vision and roadmap for Panopto to deliver on business goals. Develop new metrics and KPIs to measure the progress of initiatives aimed at driving efficiency.

Oversee the analysis of competitor offerings, customer needs, and product metrics to determine the optimal set of features that drive customer value, success, and retention.

Collaborations:

Work cross-functionally with the Product Development team to launch new features. Plan and prioritize engineering efforts for all related features, working on a day-to-day basis with cross-functional stakeholders as part of an Agile development team. Manage internal expectations for the team's projects, products, and features.

Solutions & Product Offerings:

Champion the product offerings by clearly communicating product benefits to users and internal stakeholders. Propose innovative solutions to address key challenges facing the industry or market, generating excitement among internal stakeholders, customers, and industry experts. Present at industry events and conferences to discuss the state of the industry and showcase existing products, highlighting their benefits and transformational changes resulting from new product innovation.

Go-to-Market:

Support sales and channel partners with prospective customer demos, training, tools, documentation, and subject matter expertise to help close business. Contribute to tactical and strategic decision-making for the business area.

The Team:

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Product organization’s primary function is to ideate, define, and deliver best-in-class products and solutions to our valued customers. To deliver on this commitment, the team assesses market trends, performs strategic and competitive analysis, conducts customer research and interviews, and deep feasibility and viability assessment to identify areas of opportunities to make product investment decisions.

We ruthlessly prioritize opportunities with high ROI and work with R&D team to deliver highly scalable and reliable products in a timely fashion. The team is maniacally focused on every aspect of customer experience and continually explores areas of improvement.

Required Qualifications:


  • Extensive experience in product management with a proven track record of analyzing competitor offerings, customer needs, and product metrics to drive customer value, success, and retention
  • Strong leadership skills demonstrated by developing and executing comprehensive product visions, roadmaps, and strategic acquisition plans aligned with business goals
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, collaborating cross-functionally with product development teams to prioritize engineering efforts and drive top-line revenue growth
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to shape solutions, manage internal expectations, and champion product offerings
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to propose and implement solutions to address industry challenges, generating excitement among stakeholders and customers
  • Experience in go-to-market strategies, supporting sales and channel partners with demos, training, and subject matter expertise to drive business closure
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to tactical and strategic decision-making for the business area, including presenting at industry events and conferences to showcase products and highlight industry trends

Total Rewards: The salary range for this position is $ 160,000 - 180,000 USD per year. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of the compensation package. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs such as health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
