EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3 years experience in a digital editor or writer position

YOUR ROLE

As the Senior Updates Editor at FinanceBuzz, you will relentlessly update our library of published content. Your goals will be to improve user experience, boost monetization, and drive additional traffic through improved rankings. You are someone who is obsessed with creating content that performs in the eyes of the reader AND for Google. We believe you can do both.

The ideal candidate is able to look at a piece of content and assess what needs to be updated. You should be comfortable making live changes in a CMS and also have strong writing skills in the event the necessary updates are more substantial.

In this role, you will not only be managing the work of a team of highly skilled updates editors, but also publishing your own edits to pages on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the quality and quantity of their work as well as your own. You will be providing them with daily feedback. Through your own work and this team’s work, you will have a direct impact on rankings and revenue. You will also have the ability to contribute to longer-term SEO strategy through design and product solutions.

To succeed in this role, you should have an eagle eye for detail. You are someone who naturally questions facts and seeks up-to-date answers. You are also a team player who enjoys working on multiple projects at a time and are capable of handling different priorities and timelines. You have an ability to balance a fast pace with quality output, and are known for making smart decisions around how to spend limited time and resources to create the biggest impact.
