Senior Education Analyst

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Education participates in promoting the CET mission and initiatives and in the accomplishment of the organization’s goals and assist with oversight responsibilities related to programmatic policies and procedures, accreditation, staff training, curriculum, internal monitoring and auditing, compliance with federal and state mandated regulations, the CET program design, Chief Executive Officer, and supervision of staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (May include but is not limited to the following):

  • Assists Director of Education in the general operation of the Department
  • Responds to inquiries from Center staff regarding programmatic and student issues
  • Develops curriculum and corresponding materials and tools
  • Carries out projects in support of educational programs and special projects
  • Analyzes and interprets applications for approvals by state and federal government
  • Completes applications and reports
  • Writes and edits program policies and procedures
  • Prepares reports and data for submittal to government entities
  • Conducts research on the Internet for resources and new techniques and technology
  • Assists in or leads the accreditation process for Council on Occupational Education
  • Responds to requests from the CA Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education and U.S. Department of Education
  • Responds to inquiries from Center Directors and staff and guides them through resolution and understanding, monitors compliance, and reports findings and corrective action required to the Chief Executive Officer and respective Regional Director.
  • Ensures Center compliance with federal and state regulations for private vocational post-secondary schools
  • Guides and assists Center Directors in responding to regulation compliance requests from state board/departments of education
  • Participates in decision-making, Corporate meetings
  • Participates in local, state and national workshops and meetings related to the above-mentioned responsibilities
  • Carries out other duties as required

Required Knowledge And Abilities

  • Previous experience in teaching in the classroom; curriculum development, project development and implementation; administration and management preferred.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed; excellent analytical and writing skills, computer technology, including virtual communication tools.
  • Ability to manage situations for which there are not established procedures

Education And/Or Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Education preferred, but
  • Will consider a Bachelor’s Degree in combination with relevant experience.
