We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior EHR Analyst, Epic Clindoc.


Position Summary

The overall responsibility of the Senior EHR Analyst, Epic Clindoc is to provide subject matter expertise in the functional support, design, instruction, oversight and guidance of the Epic system to achieve success in the business operation at the market and applicable facilities. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: hands-on design, build and testing of application workflows and functionality; identifying and executing on system continuous improvement opportunities; participation in build and support for system upgrades; support of applications users; and assisting in the implementation of all Clindoc application projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities


Analysis and Solution Definition

  • Work with Application Managers/Directors/etc. and the entire Project Team, to collect, analyze and document business operations and workflow.
  • Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of the organization and industry.
  • Identifies the organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
  • Assists in development of system documentation, user manuals and training classes for application suite.
  • Engages with testing efforts and ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Analyze data conversion needs.
  • Analyze new functionality in new releases to identify impact and opportunities.

Project Execution

  • Evaluates current state processes and identifies gaps to future state process around application use to maximize departmental and organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicates and applies project standards.
  • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
  • Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback.
  • Manages resources in accordance with project schedule.
  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to business stakeholders.
  • Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project.
  • Make recommendations, review and test changes, enhancements, and each new release as assigned.
  • Ensure test scripts have been created, reviewed, and updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions.
  • Assist with defining, testing and implementing interfaces with third party system, and develop effective end-to-end workflows around the interfaces.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Provide on-site support during go-live or upgrade activations.

Qualifications


Education & Experience

  • Degree and/or licensure in applicable business area. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience, either in operational or IT applications support for applicable business area.
  • Minimum of three years in IT implementing and supporting applications.
  • Epic certification in Clindoc required.
  • Established experience with large scale/large projects with team of 5 or more members.
  • Experience developing the following items with Project Management: (1) Standard work breakdown structure; (2) Resources and critical path; (3) Project scope; (4) Issues identification and oversight; (5) Change control processes; and (6) stakeholder communications.
  • Experience designing and supporting Epic systems and integration with third party applications.
  • Experience with IV Pump Interoperability strongly preferred.
  • Experience with workflow and operations within a hospital or health system.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven ability to understand business issues and objectives as well as the ability to translate them into application solutions.
  • Strong understanding in the areas of application technology and system design.
  • Understands federal & state regulations pertaining to applicable business area.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding in the areas of application technology, architecture, database and system design.
