Your Impact:

Pearce seeks talented and motivated candidates for Dallas Senior Electrical Engineer role focused primarily on residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects. Pearce's civil, structural, and electrical design teams and our clients provide innovative, forward-thinking design solutions to facilitate solar project development, design, and construction.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Designed and developed electrical infrastructure for commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Travel is required for local trips to the work site.
  • Produce electrical design/construction drawings, cost estimates, and specifications.
  • Implement lighting controls and perform photometric analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to various client standards and procedures.
  • Interact with customers daily and develop and maintain professional relationships with customers.
  • Monitor deliverables and schedules and present solutions to the client.
  • Establish proposals and maintain an electrical budget for assigned projects.
  • Perform drafting assignments and provide red marks for juniors/drafters to complete.
  • QA/QC projects and mentor junior engineers/drafters.
  • Provide construction support, including but not limited to responding to RFIs and approving submittals.

Specific duties may vary or evolve based on business and client needs.

May Qualify for a Relocation Bonus: Position is located in Dallas

Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • PE license preferred, EIT accepted.
  • 5+ years of experience designing power distribution, single-line diagrams, short circuit/arc flash studies, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarms, and low-voltage systems for commercial buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of current National Electrical Code and Fire Alarm codes, including but not limited to: NFPA 101, NFPA 90, NFPA 110, NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IBC, IEEE standards, International Energy Efficiency Code (California Energy Code and CalGreen Code is a plus)
  • Ability to travel 20%
