Senior Finance Manager - Law Firm

This role will be a Senior Finance Manager for a law firm that is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the firm including revenue management, financial planning and analysis, billing, pricing, and investor relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, experience working in a law firm or legal industry, and a solid understanding of revenue cycle management. Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel is a plus.

Position Overview

• Lead the financial operations of the law firm, providing strategic direction and guidance to the finance team.
• Manage the firm's revenue cycle, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee the firm's pricing strategy, taking into account market trends and competition.
• Communicate financial performance to senior management and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain relationships with investors and provide regular updates on the firm's financial performance.
• Utilize Power BI, SQL, and Excel to create and present financial reports and dashboards.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the firm's financial operations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the firm's growth and profitability goals.
• Oversee the revenue cycle, from invoice generation to payment collection.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
• Communicate financial performance to senior management and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with investors, providing regular updates on the firm's financial performance.
• Utilize Power BI, SQL, and Excel to create and present financial reports and dashboards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA
• Ideally have experience in a law firm and/or Big 4
• 7+ years of financial leadership experience
