Senior Financial Reporting Manager

Role Overview

You will play a crucial role in preparing and reviewing external financial statements and disclosures. This includes working on 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and 8-Ks as we transition to a public company. You will coordinate the XBRL tagging process for all future SEC filings and support the external audit process to ensure timely submission of supporting files. Your role will also involve managing the compilation and review of monthly internal financial statements distributed to management. Additionally, you will utilize your expertise in financial statement and trend analysis to identify key matters within reporting and ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of external financial statements and disclosures, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and 8-Ks.
• Coordinate the XBRL tagging process for SEC filings.
• Support the external audit process, ensuring timely submission of necessary files.
• Manage and review monthly internal financial statements for management distribution.
• Perform financial statement and trend analysis to identify critical reporting issues.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls over financial reporting and assist in implementing new controls as needed.
• Participate in key reporting project initiatives as an accounting resource.
  
  

Technical Accounting

• Support technical accounting functions, including the adoption of new accounting standards, acquisition and disposal transactions, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment evaluations, debt transactions, stock-based compensation, derivatives, leases, and pension accounting.
• Research and incorporate accounting guidance into financials for compliance with applicable standards.
• Document technical accounting conclusions effectively and in a timely manner.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting and external reporting, with Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Experience documenting internal control compliance in a SOX environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Workiva software for SEC document preparation is a plus.
