Senior Geoscientist

A Houston based Offshore focused Oil & Gas company are on the lookout for a Senior Geoscientist to join their growing team. The right candidate is likely to have a strong technical understanding of geophysical concepts and have commercial experience working in the GOM Deep Water assets. Candidate must be fluent in Spanish also.

The position requires integration of seismic and well data with engineering data to fully evaluate operated assets which includes static geomodel construction. The Senior Geoscience will also be responsible for near-field exploration prospect generation and outside deal screening.

Required skills and experience:

• Educated to MS or higher in Geology/Geophysics or similar discipline.
• Extensive Deep Water experience - US or GOM.
• Proven experience as an oil finder.
• Strong understanding of geophysical concepts.
• Experienced in building static reservoir models.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Interviews are commencing from early next week, with the view of the right candidate getting started as soon as possible. This role will be based in the Houston office, and will require field travel.
