The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Auditor to join the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Risk Assurance team in Renton, WA.

An ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in physical safety, including (but not limited to): machine operations, automation, powered industrial trucks, hazardous energy control, fall protection, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and crane operations.

Position Responsibilities:


  • Supports and leads Enterprise EHS audits, including audit scheduling, resourcing and result reporting
  • Supports project management teams, serving as the Boeing designated authority
  • Projects strategic direction and data analysis of audit risks and historical performance
  • Supports physical safety audit protocols
  • Resolves issues involved in outstanding investigations to provide leadership and clear direction on risk mitigation strategies
  • Provides technical information via recognized national forums with policy guides to develop risk management approaches to emergent issues
  • Evaluates and provides mentorship on effective corrective action plans
  • Works with internal partners to develop strategies in support of sophisticated legal actions
  • Supports EHS assessment tools development and optimization


This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. This position will allow work from home but with expected travel around 50% of the time.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.


  • 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience working with teammates and management to improve safety performance
  • 5+ years of experience working with safety requirements
  • 3+ years of experience conducting EHS audits, inspections, investigations, and coordinating resolution of issues
  • Capable of traveling 50% of the time


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
  • ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 auditor certified


Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $94,350 - $146,050
