Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior IT Business Analyst specializing in Epic General Ledger to join our team. This role is integral to optimizing our hospital's business service lines by bridging the gap between IT and operational teams. As a key player, you will enhance departmental efficiency and workflow by providing expert application configuration support.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Support: Manage major enterprise applications and provide support for additional systems as needed.
Business Workflow Design: Lead the design and improvement of business workflows in collaboration with various business units. Guide Application Analysts in enhancing efficiencies and addressing complex workflow challenges.
Software Implementation & Support: Oversee needs assessment, software design, implementation, support, and reporting. Ensure successful unit and integrated testing to meet design objectives.
Testing & Troubleshooting: Identify complex testing scenarios, develop test scripts, and validate results. Troubleshoot application and system hardware issues independently.
Process Ownership: Maintain a thorough understanding of departmental business processes and own specific functionality, including configuration, testing, and communication.
End-User Collaboration: Partner with end-users to understand their workflows and business processes. Oversee system security, disaster recovery, and backup requirements.
Project Leadership: Act as the project lead in collaboration with the PMO, managing all phases from scoping and design to implementation and transition.
Reporting & Training: Produce and maintain custom reports using industry-standard tools like Crystal Reports. Review and approve end-user training materials and participate in training efforts.
Documentation & Policy Development: Guide high documentation standards, develop policies and procedures with business units and IT management, and manage application upgrades and support efforts.
Interface Support: Support and troubleshoot inbound/outbound interfaces as necessary. Collaborate with other application and clinical analysts.
Requirements:
Required:
3+ years of experience supporting applications in a healthcare setting.
Experience in building Hospital Billing and Professional Billing general ledgers in Epic, with familiarity in working with Accounting and Finance teams.
Proficiency with business applications such as Patient Scheduling systems, Hospital or Physician Revenue Cycle systems, and Enterprise Scanning and workflow management.
Strong knowledge of SQL-based applications and experience with server management and software upgrades.
Understanding of disaster recovery, backup procedures, HL7 Interfaces, and networking (LAN, DNS).
Preferred:
Knowledge of ITIL standards.
Experience in business workflow redesign.
