Opportunity in Raleigh Area - IT Senior Tester Position with NC Dept of Health and Human Services
Overview
Local candidates in the Raleigh area sought for a 1-year contract position at a W-2 rate of up to $35/hour with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The selected candidate will be responsible for performing QA and testing work related to support the MES modules.
Key Responsibilities
Assess the testability of requirements and develop test cases based on Business Requirements and Software Design Documents.
Execute functional, integration, and regression tests.
Develop SQL queries and utilize SQL tools.
Script automated Test Suites.
Review, analyze, and report test results.
Handle Test and Defect Management Tools - experience with HP ALM, JIRA preferred.
Test web applications, REST API, SAML SSO.
Work with end users to ensure thorough user acceptance testing.
Collaborate with developers to identify test automation opportunities and define suitable strategies.
Collaborate with the product owner to analyze requirements and identify impact areas and use cases.
Required Skills
2 years of demonstrated proficiency in conducting QA and testing of web applications.
5 years of experience in assessing testability of requirements, developing test cases, and working with Business Teams to write Business and QA Documents.
5 years of experience in testing REST API, SAML SSO.
2 years of proven experience in developing SQL queries and using SQL tools.
3 years of experience in scripting automated Test Suites.
Proficiency in Agile Methodology and Scrum.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
