Senior Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator - Remote | WFH

Job Title: Manager of Compliance, Maintenance, and Facilities

Job Purpose And Function

We're seeking a talented individual to oversee the effective management of corporate compliance, maintenance services, and replacement capital. In this role, you'll ensure that all company-owned petroleum systems remain in compliance with applicable regulations and laws while maintaining full functionality. You'll supervise maintenance activities for our physical facilities and support services to ensure continuous operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance and Environmental Management:
  • Ensure company compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Identify and recommend improvements to company practices and programs
  • Stay informed on industry developments and assist in training personnel on environmental matters
  • Maintenance Coordination:
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for company facilities
  • Develop scopes of work, review bids, and select vendors and contractors
  • Administer monthly maintenance contracts for HVAC, food/refrigerated equipment, and petroleum equipment
  • Project Management:
  • Collaborate with marketing, construction, and compliance teams on various projects
  • Support major capital construction and remodeling projects
  • Coordinate equipment startups and related tasks
  • Budget and Cost Management:
  • Provide yearly budget plans for equipment maintenance and retail repairs
  • Track and analyze expenses, communicating budget-related issues to executives
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities for store utilities and services
  • Vendor Management:
  • Negotiate and supervise service contracts with equipment maintenance vendors
  • Evaluate contractor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Recommend reputable contractors who deliver timely and effective work
  • Industry Engagement:
  • Represent the company at industry committees and organizations
  • Research and implement best practices in the field

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, Industrial Management, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in environmental management or retail/commercial facility maintenance management
  • Strong project management and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of food service equipment, mechanical systems, and refrigeration
  • Familiarity with petroleum equipment, building codes, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with maintenance software (preferred)

Certifications (preferred, On-the-job Training May Be Provided)

  • MDE Inspector's Certification
  • Underground Storage Tank Operator A/B Certification
  • OSHA 30 Certification

Work Arrangement And Travel

  • Hybrid role: Minimum 2 days in-office (Tuesdays and Thursdays), remainder remote
  • Core hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
  • Some travel may be necessary for troubleshooting, training, or industry events (with reimbursement for approved expenses)
