Senior Manager of Capital Project & Asset Management Accounting

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Capital Project and Asset Management Accounting to be a key player in our Capital Project and Asset Management (CPAM) Accounting team. In this role, you will report to the Director of CPAM Accounting and manage the month-end close process, internal and external reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with various teams, including Projects & Planning, Insurance & Risk Management, and Technical Accounting. The ideal candidate for this role is self-motivated, eager to contribute to a large, multi-national organization, and skilled at transforming complex projects into actionable insights for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure financial statement accuracy by adhering to accounting policies and completing month-end close processes.
  • Consolidate and analyze data for capital forecasting while identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Manage depreciation forecasting and oversee the depreciation model for cash flow purposes.
  • Collaborate with the CPAM Director on budgeting and forecasting related to various financial elements.
  • Improve overall efficiency by reimagining CPAM functionality and streamlining processes.
  • Maintain effective communication regarding capital policies with stakeholders.
  • Develop and mentor staff involved in capital reporting and reconciliations.
  • Oversee integration projects for newly acquired resorts and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from leadership as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience); CPA preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proven management experience with increasing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, including remote collaboration.
  • Familiarity with corporate financial systems (e.g., Planful, nVision, Blackline, People’s Financials).
  • Commitment to developing leadership skills through mentoring.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Compensation

The expected total compensation for this role ranges from \(99,900 to \)135,120, plus an annual bonus. The final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment

We offer a hybrid work environment for employees living within 50 miles of our office, working on-site Tuesday through Thursday and remotely on Mondays and Fridays. For those outside a commutable distance, remote work is available from specific U.S. states and locations, including British Columbia and Washington D.C.
