About The Role

As Medallion continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Operations Manager who will be the main point of contact for capacity models and our BPO operations. You’ll be responsible for updating in flight models and building new models with all required data inputs. You will partner closely with finance to ensure financial models are in sync with our capacity models. You will be responsible for presenting the models on a weekly/monthly basis with actuals and forecasted data calling out any trends and variances to forecast.

The ideal candidate is someone who has strong experience within workforce planning, budget management, vendor management and who has previous working knowledge of healthcare operations (payer enrollment, licensing, credentialing). You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of and relationships with multiple sites/vendors in a provider health-related environment (payer enrollment, licensing, credentialing, etc.) We need someone who is comfortable conducting ongoing performance analysis and is able to identify and articulate meaningful opportunities with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as ultimately define and implement subsequent action plans. This position will not have any direct reports.

This role reports to the Vice President of Provider Operations and base compensation for this role may land between $100,000-$150,0000. In addition to base salary, Medallion offers equity, and benefits as part of the total compensation package. Many factors are considered when determining pay including: market data, geographic location, skills, qualifications, experience, and level.

What You’ll Do

  • Workforce Capacity Planning:
    • Manage demand forecasting and inbound/outbound volume models to support headcount planning and budget development across multiple departments
    • Compile, analyze, review, forecast, and trend data
    • Develop Long Range and Short Range Capacity models for Operations
    • Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
    • Review and report on key operational metrics including volume, production metrics, attrition, and SLA/turnaround time
    • Maintain measurements reporting for departments and perform analysis to measure success rates, partnering with Operations, and understanding of our existing data sources and reports
  • Vendor Management:
    • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance of outsourced operations for our various operations pillars, ensuring overall quality levels are being delivered.
    • Regularly visit vendor sites for relationship building, performance reviews and to assess overall program health; from employee experience to processes and best-practices.
    • Responsible for analyzing data with vendors to drive changes if needed, improving operational processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies to reduce costs.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to properly manage expectations on performance, business requirements and overall service delivery, holding vendors accountable for overall performance execution.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for issues related to overall vendor performance and quality to effectively resolve escalations and provide solutions to vendors.
    • Establish and solidify business plans and roadmaps as it pertains to recruiting, hiring, training and product knowledge management (vendor management governance)
    • Set vendors up for success by advocating for them when needed and ensuring their feedback is heard and prioritized to drive procedure and tooling improvements.
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has

  • 5+ years experience in a provider-health related environment (payer enrollment, licensing, credentialing)
  • Experience with capacity planning, vendor management and budget management (ideally has at least two of the three)
  • Experience with long/short range planning, financial modeling and complex data analysis
  • Experience managing BPO operations as client and/or vendor (onshore and offshore).
  • A detailed understanding of forecasting, requirement generation and staffing
  • Experience in building sophisticated models using various statistical tools for optimization and the ability to effectively communicate adjustments, opportunities & risks to stakeholders
  • Develop Capacity/Resource Planning Models and Workforce Management Processes to meet the needs of partners
  • Experience in negotiating complex contracts, preferably with global BPOs and proven track record in outsourcing benchmarking and market analyses.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (5-10% of the year)
