Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all accounting operations related to our Property and Casualty Insurance business.
Prepare and analyze detailed financial reports, highlighting any trends or issues that need to be addressed.
Ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Conduct account reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial performance, and meet business objectives.
Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation, ensuring our business remains compliant at all times.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing all necessary information and addressing any queries or issues that arise.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's Degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Insurance Accounting, with a specific focus on Property and Casualty Insurance.
Strong knowledge of insurance accounting principles and regulations.
Proficient in account reconciliation and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide effective solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
