Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer at Acterra Group plays a pivotal role within our dynamic team, dedicated to overseeing the installation and design of above ground fuel tanks for critical facilities such as airports and military installations. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design and develop fueling storage tanks, systems, and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Collaborate closely with the COO, VP of Commercial Services, and other key stakeholders to develop and implement sound engineering design
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical, software, and other project components
• Serve as a critical point of communication, ensuring clear and consistent engagement with team members, clients, and stakeholders
• Adapt designs and approaches to meet evolving needs, focusing on innovative solutions and technical integrity of designs
• Support manufacturing and production teams to ensure smooth transition from design to production
• Implement and refine engineering procedures, driving continuous improvement in effective practices and performance
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations, particularly in high-stakes environments like airports and military installations
• Foster a culture of excellence and accountability within the organization
  
  

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  
  

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with a Professional Engineering license or Master’s degree preferred
• In-depth experience with drawing layouts and proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g. ANSYS, MATLAB)
