Senior Mechanical Engineer

CNG Engineering, PLLC is growing! We seek an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager for our San Antonio or Austin, Texas locations. Key responsibilities include successfully planning, managing, and executing projects on time and within budget while maintaining current client relationships and securing additional project work. This position will prepare project proposals and ensure project estimates are accurate and the project scope is executable and within budget.

We are a San Antonio-based, professional mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design firm that provides master planning, design, and building commissioning services for public and private sector projects across Texas. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assumes Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager role and manages assigned projects, including coordination and or direction for the design team from inception to completion on a project-specific basis
• Prepare proposals and reports for small and large projects
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work while maintaining quality standards on all projects
• Responsible for the designs and development of mechanical and plumbing systems
• Performs and verifies load calculations for mechanical and plumbing systems
• Perform CA tasks, review submittals/shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and attend CA meetings
• Conduct site visits to evaluate field installations and conduct field observations
• Assists in Marketing/BD efforts in coordination with Marketing Director
• As other duties assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• 7+ years of recent experience in Mechanical Engineering design with an architectural or MEP firm
• LEED accreditation is highly desired
• WELL accreditation is a plus
• Advanced in project management, including managing work to produce projects on schedule and within budget
• Advanced interpersonal skills and experience helping to maintain successful client relationships
• Advanced in planning and organization skills with the ability to lead multiple-discipline project teams
• Advanced in Project Management, including managing work to produce projects on schedule and within budget

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current Professional Engineer Certification
• Current valid driver's license and insurable driving record

TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:

• Advanced knowledge in AutoCAD and Revit
• Proficient in Bluebeam
• Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's Degree in Architectural / Mechanical Engineering
• Project Management Certification, preferred
