Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the fintech industry to hire an experienced full-time Senior Network Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing our client’s network infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise to ensure the daily operation, sustainability, reliability, and scalability of the network ecosystem.
What YOU Will Do
Configure and maintain the network ecosystem, including routing, switching, firewall, SD-WAN, load balancing, and SSL.
Implement, monitor, and analyze network performance. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly while optimizing network performance for maximum efficiency.
Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Utilize ticketing and internal request systems to troubleshoot and implement change activities.
Implement and manage network security protocols and firewall rules to protect company data and resources while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
What YOU Will Bring Us
Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Professional certifications such as CCNA+, JNCIA+, or related are preferred.
3+ years of experience in implementing, managing, and testing data communication networks, both on-premise and in the cloud, with a preference for Azure.
3+ years of experience supporting routing, switching, firewall, load balancing, and Wi-Fi operations.
2+ years of experience with scripting or coding in network automation-related languages.
Strong skills in firewall management and optimization, particularly with Palo Alto (preferred).
Experience with network monitoring platforms such as New Relic (preferred).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly and positively.
Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Solid knowledge of networking hardware infrastructure and principles.
Knowledge of Linux and/or Python or other network automation languages.
Ability to provide technical guidance in a collaborative manner.
Strong documentation abilities.
