THE ROLE: Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will participate in our talented delivery team in the northwest. Primary responsibilities include performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of complex data/security networks, development of security, routing, and switching configurations and deployment in medium to very large environments.

You'll also be providing network engineering consulting services, including: assessment, design and implementation of data and secure networking environments, assisting clients through planning, design and implementation of secure data communications networks, and developing comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance.

Travel Requirements

In this role, you will be expected to travel to client sites 25% of the time across WA, OR, and ID.

Job Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities include performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of data/security networks
• Working with junior members of the engineering team to successfully implement secure network solutions
• Routing, switching, and security configuration and deployment in an enterprise environment
• Provide network engineering consulting services, including: assessment, design and implementation of secure networking environments
• Assist clients through planning, design and implementation of secure data communications networks
• Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance
  
  

Required Skills

• Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of the following:
• BS in CS or EE or 8-10 years related experience
• CCNP level experience required
• CCIE Security or R&S - Preferred
  
  

Additional Desired Skills

• Ability to physically wireless survey, or lift and install equipment.
• Experience with a combination of the following wireless platforms:
• Cisco, Meraki, HPE Aruba, or Mist
• Experience performing wireless designs and assessment surveys with tools such as:
• Ekahau, Air Magnet
• Working knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi standards and architecture
• Understanding of wireless authentication methods including 802.1x, EAP, RADIUS, etc
  

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 8+ years of networking experience, including configuring, analyzing & troubleshooting complex networks
