Job Summary

As our Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be a key player in developing and implementing cutting-edge security solutions for our network infrastructure. Duties And Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage security solutions for our network environment to maximize resilience against cyber threats.
  • Formulate and enforce network security policies, controls, and best practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance regulations.
  • Act as a key liaison with internal stakeholders, translating business requirements into secure network solutions.
  • Author, revise, and uphold security documentation, frameworks, and standards.
  • Develop and routinely test security incident response plans; participate in incident response efforts and post-event analyses.
  • Keep abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and trends in the network security realm.
  • Offer expertise, guidance, and hands-on support to fellow cybersecurity team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Regularly assess and report on the effectiveness of network security tools, strategies, and measures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years in Information Security, with at least 7 years dedicated to network security.
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall management (VPN, SSL Decryption, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, etc.)
    • Web Application Firewall management (Imperva, Cloudflare, Akamai, etc.)
    • Wireless network configuration (Juniper, Cisco, etc.)
    • Network Access Control solutions (FortiNAC, Forescout, etc.)
    • Network Security Monitoring solutions (ExtraHop, Darktrace, etc.)
    • Solid grounding in networking principles and architectures.
    • Strong analytical mindset coupled with adept problem-solving abilities.
    • Stellar communication skills, with an aptitude for translating technical details for varied audiences.
    • Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CEH (preferred)
National Life is accepting applications for this role on an ongoing basis and the role remains open until filled.

The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.

Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
