Senior Packaging Designer/Art Director

Food & Beverage client is seeking a hands-on Art Director/Packaging Designer to support the packaging team. You will be responsible for creating packaging designs across diverse range of food products.

Responsibilities:

• Must have technical precision of designs, usage of colors, fonts, and layouts.
• Adapt existing packaging designs for new product sizes, formats, or variants.
• Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of packaging.
• Quality-check art files before sending out for compliance review and printing vendors.
• Work closely with the marketing team to conceptualize and design assets.
• Support the auditing, updating, and housekeeping of all templates and design assets.
• Project management timelines, and execution of creative tasks, managing multiple projects from conception to completion while meeting deadlines.
• Manage project timelines and utilize project management tools to provide real-time updates and maintain accurate project trackers.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of general creative design experience required.
• 5 years’ experience working directly for a CPG brand or within an agency focused on CPG brands preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in developing product packaging and technical design of product packaging.
• 3-5 years’ experience in graphic design and print production.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
• Solid understanding of print production processes.
• In-depth knowledge of preproduction design.
• Type layout skills and a precise eye for color.
• Must be able to attend press-checks on-site when needed.
