Job Overview

The Senior Passenger Revenue Accountant will be responsible for the review and reconciliations of all passenger revenue transactions and journal entries reported from the Company’s Passenger Revenue Accounting System (“PRA”). Additionally, this position will be responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and reporting of PRA transactions with the finance and accounting teams. Joining this early-stage company will provide the opportunity to help shape strategic direction and build out the department. The successful candidate will be hands-on and will have a successful track record in setting priorities as well as excellent analytic, organization, and communication skills. As the Senior Passenger Revenue Accountant, you will be a “roll-up the sleeves” team member with overall responsibility for the day-to-day passenger revenue accounting activities including the following:


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of the PRA;
  • Lead the build out of the passenger revenue accounting team;
  • Responsible for accounting and analysis for designated passenger revenue accounts to provide timely and accurate financial data to management;
  • Manage and review the day-to-day work product of the passenger revenue accounting team;
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations to account for the financial activity of the passenger revenue accounting accounts on a monthly basis;
  • Ensure accounting is complete, accurate, GAAP-compliant, and well documented;
  • Utility player to assist as needed in accounting, reporting, etc.


Qualifications (Required)

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience;
  • A minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in airline revenue accounting roles;
  • Experience with capacity purchase agreements;
  • Ability to manage large volumes of work, prioritize, and execute, all while meeting deadlines;
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Partner with departments outside of accounting/finance, including but not limited to – Operations, IT, and Commercial teams;
  • Natural propensity for organization and an aptitude for information technology;
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Strong understanding and leadership in the application of US GAAP, including ASC 606.
  • Functional knowledge of financial systems and processes, accounting standards, and controls (e.g., GAAP, SOX, Standard Operating Procedures)


Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience with NetSuite
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional experience
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
