Siemens Financial Services (SFS) is looking for a Senior Portfolio Manager.

The focus will be the financing of private equity or corporate backed large middle market and broadly syndicated leveraged and ABL (asset based lending) transactions across multiple sectors and industries. You will be part of a team managing a portfolio of credits throughout their lifecycle post-close involving review of quarterly trend cards, financial statement analysis, legal analysis, development of industry expertise / knowledge and engagement with external council, lenders and borrowers. Duties include maintaining up to date knowledge of each account, ongoing identification of all relevant risks and mitigating factors to recommend proactive portfolio management measures.

You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

  • Work with dedicated team to monitor and track portfolio performance of syndicated and asset based loans and provide regular updates to management.
  • Complete waiver, refinancings and/or amendments as necessary and assist the underwriting team on new business opportunities within the existing portfolio.
  • Complete and ensure accuracy of trend cards for assigned portfolio.
  • Responsible for developing industry expertise, analysis and tracking.
  • Maintain regular communications with Head of Portfolio Management and senior management regarding developing credit opportunities or concerns.
  • Support management in making investment decisions by providing timely and accurate data and recommendations.
  • Development and recommendation of credit hits of the assigned portfolio in conjunction with the Head of Portfolio Management and Credit Recovery Manager.
  • Work closely with other teams including operations, ratings, compliance and pricing in proactively managing the portfolio.
  • Responsible for all critical internal credit documents through the life cycle of a loan
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens internal reporting requirements.
  • Maintain regular contact with internal teams to ensure a smooth execution process.
  • Ad hoc portfolio related exercises and reporting.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of investment processes and procedures to enhance portfolio performance and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and develop team members.

You’ll win us over by having the following required qualifications:

  • BA/BS in finance, economics or accounting
  • 15+ years of experience in the following:
    • Credit analysis experience with specific workout/troubled account experience.
    • Deep knowledge of discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, merger and asset-based models.
    • Broadly Syndicated Bank and large middle market transaction experience.
    • ABL (Asset Based Lending) transaction experience.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with tight deadlines.
    • Proven professional writing skills, particularly in preparation of credit memos and relevant documents and announcements.
    • Working in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented deal team.
    • Willingness to travel
    • Authorization to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

    • The pay range for this position is $133,000- $273,600 plus generous incentive plan. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
