Senior Process Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of chemical processes from inception through to full-scale production.
• Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and economic evaluations to determine the viability and profitability of new processes.
• Optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement process control strategies to monitor and maintain production parameters within specified targets.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to scale-up new products from laboratory to production scale.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process issues to ensure continuous operation and minimal downtime.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to recommend improvements and ensure compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; advanced degree (Masters or PhD) preferred.
• 10+ years of proven experience as a Chemical Process Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of chemical process design, simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS), and process control systems.
• Experience with process safety management and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to lead projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other process improvement methodologies.
