Senior Project Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT projects. In this role, you will manage multiple projects for two high-profile clients, ensuring successful outcomes, strong client relationships, and alignment with project goals. You will coordinate resources, collaborate with vendors, and serve as the main point of contact for all project-related activities

Responsibilities

• Lead client kickoff meetings to ensure smooth project initiation and seamless handovers.
• Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, and resource allocation.
• Provide exceptional customer service by resolving issues promptly and ensuring contract compliance.
• Oversee day-to-day project activities, monitor progress, and track milestones.
• Foster team growth by mentoring project team members and guiding them through project challenges.
• Act as the primary contact for clients, taking ownership of overall project outcomes.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and products.
• Keep resource schedules up-to-date and communicate key project updates, including funding and resource needs, to leadership.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, ensuring timely submission of reports, timecards, and expenses.
• Monitor and manage project scope, making necessary adjustments to timelines or resources as required.
• Provide regular revenue forecast updates to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; PMP certification is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on large-scale, complex projects.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Basecamp, Teams, SharePoint, MS Project, and Smartsheet.
• Experience in vendor management and working on multi-vendor IT projects.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to guide and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain positive client relationships.
• Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and project oversight.
• Experience with higher education is required.
