Senior Real Estate Investment Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Real Estate Investment Analyst will apply their financial and analytic skills to the asset management, leasing, development, budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance of the Northgate Real Estate properties throughout the Western States. This is an onsite position based in Anaheim, California.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work extensively in Argus, Excel and Yardi to create, modify and ensure the accuracy of budgets and deal analytics.
• Prepare and maintaining working budgets and pro formas for new developments and acquisitions.
• Complete lease-related financial analyses such as NPV, credit, and NOI analyses.
• Work closely with our real estate and accounting teams to develop new analytical tools.
• Collaborate with leasing, property management, construction, and legal teams to develop and execute long-term asset strategies to maximize revenue growth and value creation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of information for decision-making.
• Assist in preparing information used for quarterly financial meetings.
• Assist in analytical functions of site selection, due diligence, leasing, property management, financing, construction, investor reporting and dispositions.
• Performs other duties and projects as required.
  
  

Qualifications, Knowledge And Skill Required

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, real estate, or related discipline required.
• 2+ years’ experience in financial analysis.
• Possess exceptional Excel and Argus skills.
• Ability to work under tight time constraints and extended hours as required.
• Ability to understand budgeting and allocation of costs and basic principles of real estate finance and investment.
• Knowledge Yardi Software a plus.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, Spanish proficient a plus.
• Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks. Coordinate, manage and communicate efficiently and effectively.
• Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to solve unstructured problems where the goal is clear but the methodology is undefined.
  
  

Physical And Environmental Requirements

• Requires the use of a computer screen for extensive periods of time.
• Occasional lifting of 15 to 20 lbs.
• Extended working hours and travel may be necessary.
