Role Summary
The Department of Research and Translational Medicine is seeking a Senior Research Associate, Non-Clinical Pharmacology/Immunology. This position will be a critical on-site, lab-based role executing in vitro immunology assays to define the pharmacology of antibody drug candidates. The ideal candidate will have a background in immunology or biology with direct experience performing tissue culture and plate-based assays.

Role Summary
The Department of Research and Translational Medicine is seeking a Senior Research Associate, Non-Clinical Pharmacology/Immunology. This position will be a critical on-site, lab-based role executing in vitro immunology assays to define the pharmacology of antibody drug candidates. The ideal candidate will have a background in immunology or biology with direct experience performing tissue culture and plate-based assays.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute standard experimental immunoassay protocols (including primary cell culture, ELISA, and MSD), to support preclinical pharmacology of our antibody drug candidates
- Work with a team to develop, execute, and optimize novel cell-based immunoassay protocols, such as flow cytometry or complex co-culture systems
- Analyze and clearly summarize data to communicate assay results at internal meetings and in reports
- Maintain electronic lab notebook, documenting experimental procedures and results according to established guidelines
- Manage internal inventories of critical samples and reagents
- Assist with identifying needs in the lab and sourcing of reagents, samples, and other critical materials
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (biology, immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry) with 5+ years or M.S. with 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently carry out high quality tissue culture work with sterile technique is required
- Prior experience with protein and cell-based immunoassays, including ELISA, MSD, or multi-color flow cytometry is highly desirable
- Experience isolating and/or maintaining primary human immune cell cultures is a plus
- Prior industry experience and/or experience with antibody-based therapeutics is a plus
- Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a team-based collaborative environment
- Ability to effectively communicate scientific findings at internal meetings
- Ability and willingness to travel up to four times a year for company-wide meetings as well as Research and Translational Medicine team meetings.
- This position is based in our lab/office in the Boston, MA Seaport district and requires full time (5 days per week) work onsite.
