Senior Staff Accountant

Carolina PRG is partnering with a well-respected distributor of equipment who is looking for a confident, detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant. This is a key position within a dynamic hands-on organization that prides itself on collaboration and creativity. The company is more than just numbers and is seeking a teammate who can contribute to the development of accounting policies and procedures, as well as be a team player with great communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor the cash flow forecast, liquidity, accounts payable management, and cash management.
• Help the team with month-end close around inventory, cash, prepaids, and be responsible for multiple key journal entries.
• Prepare the bank reconciliations and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
• Prepare reconciliations monthly across the balance sheet and document reconciling items.
• Perform business unit-level reporting functions.
• Assists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and providing analysis around variances from Budget/Forecast.
• Ad-hoc analysis.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of experience working in a corporate accounting environment.
• 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields.
• Good understanding of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of internal controls and transactional processes.
• Ability to work with other people cross-functionally.
