As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will leverage the latest technologies and trends in the Gas PLC and SCADA systems industry to optimize our operations. Your expertise in SCADA fundamentals within the utility sector will be critical to your success. You will collaborate closely with management, supervisory, IT, and operating staff, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with the energy control center to support field and energy distribution operations.

Some responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

• Maintain currency with the latest trends in automation design and equipment for the Gas Industry
• Will work in all aspects of SCADA Systems including: ○ AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform ○ HMI display development ○ Realtime Database data interfaces and reports Gas Measurement Metering
• Troubleshoot SCADA software and server issues Work closely with Field Technicians to configure, test, and troubleshoot data polling from the SCADA System to field RTUs
• Work with Gas Control operators to make sure the SCADA system is always providing them the ability to operate the pipeline safely
• Program wireless modems (Sierra Wireless and Digi)
• Build, configure, and maintain reports
• Document changes, obtain required approvals, and submit changes
• Knowledge of RTU/PLC protocols (Modbus, DNP3, BSAP)
• Ability to write simple scripts and SQL queries
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in a small team environment
  
  

This is an hourly position with opportunity for overtime.

Mandatory Qualifications:(Please read carefully. TheyMUSTbe shown on your resume)

• SCADA System Expertise:
• Proficient in AVEVA Enterprise SCADA
• Skilled in HMI display development
• Experienced in real-time database implementation
• Capable of developing and maintaining historical database data interfaces and reports
• Knowledgeable in gas measurement metering
• Technical Troubleshooting:
• Strong ability to troubleshoot SCADA software and server issues
• Proficient in configuring, testing, and troubleshooting data polling from the SCADA systems to field RTUs
• Operational Support:
• Experience working closely with field technicians and gas control operators to ensure the SCADA system supports safe pipeline operation
• Ability to program wireless modems (Sierra Wireless and Digi)
• Experience in building, configuring, and maintaining reports. Skilled in documenting changes, obtaining required approvals, and submitting changes
• In-depth knowledge of RTU/PLC protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, BSAP
