The Opportunity


Xivic is looking for a SEO Strategist, who can deliver high quality SEO campaigns while thinking quantitatively, analytically, as well as creatively. They hold a key skill: an understanding of SEO principles and the ability to not just measure and analyze but to use data to provide insights for change and guidance to improve our client’s digital presence.


You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive SEO strategies with a conversion focused approach to improve our clients’ search engine rankings and drive qualified traffic. You will use your expertise in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools like ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog etc. to guide detailed recommendations. Your self-starter attitude will serve you well in finding ways to use your talents to bring value to our clients.


Collaboration is key for Xivic, so you’ll also be working closely with our Account/Project Management and Development teams.


This is a remote role for U.S. based candidates with team members throughout North America in Pacific, Mountain, Central, and Eastern time zones.


We are looking for applicants who are self-motivated and have excellent communication skills. You should have the ability to see the big picture and ask questions, as well as laser in on details.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Use data to drive detailed recommendations that will bring results that align with the strategy and objectives of our clients.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-volume, relevant keywords that align with business goals.
  • Analyze website traffic and user behavior to pinpoint optimization opportunities.
  • Formulate and execute SEO strategies to enhance website content, structure, and technical aspects.
  • Optimizing existing websites and/or crafting SEO strategies for net-new websites.
  • Experience with site migrations from a content and technical aspect.
  • Draft comprehensive website content briefs to drive SEO content strategies.
  • Collaborate with content creators and web developers to ensure SEO best practices are followed.
  • Monitor and track SEO performance metrics using analytics tools.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and discussions, contributing insights based on personal experience.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO trends and algorithm updates.
  • Generate monthly client-facing reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Investigate search ranking issues across various platforms and channels during audits.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as necessary to answer business questions and drive decisions


Basic Requirements

  • Extensive experience in search engine optimization
  • 3-5 years of experience in a digital marketing role with a focus on SEO
  • Experience working with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment - will always follow up and follow through
  • Experience in project management tools like ActiveCollab, Jira, Confluence, BaseCamp, Monday, etc. and a demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and tools
