- Assesses present and future need, trends, problems, and profit opportunities of the service department
- Establishes short and long-term operating and financial objectives for the service department, within the Company's overall plans and policies
- Ensures that approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively applied within the department
- Formulates annual and monthly sale/profit objectives are expense budgets in accordance with company objectives
- Reviews and appraises the results of the activities within the departments and takes appropriate action as necessary
- Selects, coaches, leads, trains, and supervises shop personnel
- Works to consistently improve CSI and performance of advisors
- Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide high level service to both internal and external customers
- Experience as an Automotive Service Manager in a dealership setting required
- Volkswagen experience a plus
- CDK experience a plus
- Familiarity with customer service standards and processes
- Strong work ethic and willingness to get the job done
- Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Proven high CSI
- Ability to coach and mentor staff
- Extremely focused on following and guarding processes
