Independence Tooling is actively seeking a shipping and receiving associate to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Receive deliveries promptly and accurately
  • Register incoming shipments and distribute items to the appropriate departments
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions
  • Organize and clean stock areas regularly
  • Catalog items efficiently for easy retrieval
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed
  • Address any shipping-related issues promptly
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve inventory handling challenges
  • Safely operate lift trucks and other material-handling equipment
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working condition

Qualifications

  • Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving role
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ideally, the candidate has worked in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads
