Position Purpose
The Shop Foreman is responsible for leading a team of technicians to ensure quality work and performance. Provides excellent customer service to maximize customer satisfaction and retention. Ensures all Sitepro standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction.
Principal Responsibilities And Duties
Supervise the work of technicians, review work performance, counsel team members about work-related issues and assists team members to correct job-skill deficiencies.
Determines repair schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority and skillset of technicians.
Check repair work and approve the release of repaired equipment for delivery to the customer.
Monitors, orders and maintains shop supplies and tooling needs.
Services as the liaison between Sitepro and customers in problem resolution
Manages shop repairs from the opening of the job order through completion of billing cycle.
Coordinates with Service and Parts Department to quote jobs for shop and/or field repair.
Operates the Service Department in the absence of the Service or Branch Manager
Conducts or arranges for work training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
Responsible for overall environmental health & safety of Shop Technicians; as well as maintenance duties
Maintains accurate manufacturer service bulletin files.
Maintains, repairs and rebuilds functional components of a variety of equipment (smaller locations only)
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Excellent customer service skills
Mastery of repair work for heavy equipment, machinery and other types of equipment utilized in the construction, manufacturing, or distribution industry.
Ability to read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, etc.
Excellent mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge and problem- solving skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience And Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Mechanical or trade school certificate preferred.
Certifications or manufacturers training is highly desirable.
Minimum of 3 years supervision or leading teams.
7 years’ experience in equipment repair or related industry preferred.
