Who We’re Looking For - Reporting to the Senior Director, Quality & Regulatory, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager (Site Quality Manager) who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and safety of all cosmetic products manufactured at the site. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems in compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and customer requirements. The Site Quality Manager will act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters at the manufacturing site and host 3rd party and regulatory audits.

Responsibilities

  • This role requires onsite attendance Monday through Friday, between 6:00AM PST and 2:30PM PST
  • Lead document control program for the facility including preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
  • Training production line staff in cGMP and quality assessment of goods
  • Lead and manage site audits, both internal and external, including regulatory inspections
  • Ensure the site meets MoCRA requirements and guidelines
  • Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee quality and compliance
  • Write SOP, WI, and validation protocol for quality and manufacturing processes
  • Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standards
  • Utilize statistical techniques & six sigma tools to analyze processes & drive continuous improvement activities
  • Manage supplier non-conformance including root cause & corrective action holding supplier accountable (SCAR)
  • Manage third party testing for finished products and release program
  • Manage Quality escapes, root cause 8D investigation, containment/corrective actions, risk-based escalation (as appropriate).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, quality system & procedure adjustments, to elevate quality, compliance, & efficiency of the company’s Management System
  • Lead cleaning, validation and environmental monitoring program at the site
  • If required, lead internal audits to ensure the effective implementation of QMS
  • Follow and champion document control processes for the organization
  • Maintain traceability and yield program for the company
  • Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment


Qualifications

  • BS in Science (Chemistry, Biology or similar science program)
  • 5+ years of Quality Management experience in consumer products manufacturing, preferably cosmetic products
  • Experience formulating and writing SOP / policies
  • Ability to prioritize, plan & evaluate deliverables to established strategic goals
  • Able to speak/present information in front of groups, internal & external
  • Knowledge of adherence to Quality systems
  • Detail and data oriented, with an ability to build reports to substantiate research and findings
  • Able to host FDA or other regulatory auditors
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite or Google Office Suite, especially Excel and/or Sheets
  • Knowledge of cosmetic industry and manufacturing processes preferred
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, with the ability to manage suppliers & project stakeholders
  • Effective interpersonal skills and good verbal/written communication skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
