We are looking for an internet-obsessed social community manager to join the Gainful team. This is a chance to join a fast-growing brand, adding value to the company by growing our organic community and social presence specifically across our TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube. This is a New York City based role and we’re looking for somebody who will be in the office 3+ times a week creating video content, partnering with our creative contributors and bringing energy and excitement to both our company culture and our social media.

This is an entry level role fit for fresh Marketing graduates ready to put their big ideas to use. The ideal candidate has an active personal presence online and is confident planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring Gainful's social content strategy with the intent to build engagement and community on social platforms. You will report to and collaborate with Marketing Manager, Community Engagement and Events. We are looking for somebody who is excited about the prospect of spending their day coming up with engaging, organic content for TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube and who believes they can bring freshness, creativity and perspective to our platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

• Report to and collaborate with Marketing Manager, Community Engagement and Events to develop new ideas for creative content curated for each of Gainful’s social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube, with the goal to drive up engagement and grow our following
• Pitch creative ideas around how to best leverage social to tell our brand story

Content Creation:

• Filming, editing, and designing content as well as writing copy for posts
• Jumping on trends early and re-creating them in a branded way
• Develop unique social campaigns, challenges and giveaways to engage audience and grow following
• Integrating social into our company culture and sharing our company culture on social 

Community Management:

• Monitoring and engaging with followers, trends, mentions, comments, and DMs

Collaboration: 

• Collaborate with Influencer & Design leads on collaborative content 
• Assist with content creation and management of brand partnerships for cross-promotional social giveaways and collaborations

Analytics and Reporting: 

• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media campaigns
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on social media performance and suggest insightful improvements to be made

Requirements:

• Marketing or other media-related bachelor’s degree
• Marketing Internship or other relevant social, media, filming, and editing experience preferred
• Strong personal social presence or portfolio of content
• Strong experience with Canva, Cap Cut and/or other design and editing programs
• A passion for social media and pop culture 
• Obsessed with knowing what’s new - you’re the first of your friends on every trend and meme
• Always caught up on the latest innovations in social media channels, features, capabilities
• A love of writing and the ability to make social copy attention-grabbing, authentic, and effective
• An interest in visual storytelling, design and content creation and an ability to showcase those abilities through either a portfolio of work or a social content assignment
• Interest in, and comfort, being on-camera and representing the Gainful brand 
• A team player, with strong collaborative skills and a hunger to learn
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Creative thinking with attention to detail

• A real passion for health, fitness, and nutrition
• An interest in creative production, design, and video creation  
• A desire to be actively on-location or out and about in the city, creating content in real-time
• A “people person” who is energized by meeting new people and trying new things 

Compensation:

·   Base salary: $55,000 - $65,000

·   Additional compensation types: Equity
