Social Media Manager - Entertainment

Our client, a large entertainment company and streaming service in LA, is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager for a 1-year contract with a proven background in working for entertainment brands. In this role, you will lead and be the main point of contact for their brand agency partner, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with their brand vision. You will oversee the development and execution of their social media strategy across various platforms, leveraging your deep understanding of the entertainment industry to drive engagement and growth. Analyzing social media insights to optimize performance will be a key part of your role, as well as tracking budget and spend to ensure effective resource allocation. This position requires a passion for championing diversity in entertainment, and you will play a critical role in ensuring that our content reflects and supports this commitment.

This is a 1-year contract to start and requires 1-day/week onsite in Burbank, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Lead social media strategy development and execution for the brand and various original titles.
• Act as the main point of contact for the brand agency partner, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
• Analyze social media insights and metrics to optimize content and strategy.
• Track and manage social media budget and spend across platforms.
• Develop and manage content calendars, ensuring timely and relevant posts.
• Stay updated on industry trends and platform updates to maintain a competitive edge.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, PR, and creative, to ensure cohesive brand messaging
• Monitor social media channels for brand mentions and engage with the audience to build a strong online community.
• Advocate for diversity and inclusion in all social media content and strategies.
• Prepare regular reports on social media performance, presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• 5-6 years of proven experience as a Social Media Manager, specifically within the entertainment industry.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and trends.
• Experience in working with brand agencies and leading collaborative projects.
• Proficiency in analyzing social media metrics and using insights to drive strategy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and track spending across multiple platforms.
• Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and content creation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
