Social Media Marketing Intern

Overview:

Moroccanoil, the beauty brand that pioneered oil-infused hair care and created the worldwide buzz on argan oil, is seeking a part or full-time intern who will support the needs of the Moroccanoil Social Media department. Interns must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 months to this paid internship.

Candidates must be current undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Communications, Marketing, or a related field of study.

This is a great opportunity for someone who possesses solid organizational and administrative skills and finds themselves spending most of their time scrolling TikTok or editing Reels together and is looking to gain experience in aspects of the luxury beauty industry.

Organized with attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of the latest social media trends and pop culture conversations

Office experience and knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills

Video filming and editing experience is a plus

Scope of Projects:

Social Media

• Assist with drafting and executing social media calendars Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube
• Create social-first content that engages our existing community and reach new fans
• Plug into TikTok and turn around regular content following trends
• Work to create existing monthly reporting updates
• Support the team at live events, on set on shoots, and during livestreams
• Perform marketing research to develop brand strategy

Influencer

• Assist associate influencer manager on campaigns and ambassador programs including product gifting and content creation management
• Pack and send influencers product for content needs
• Develop relationships with interested brand partners

Community Management

• Review community responses across social media (may require remote evening, weekend, or holiday hours)
• Escalate concerns for enhanced customer service
