⭐About Our Client

Our client takes a holistic approach to build robots; all components of the robots are developed in-house including motors, transmissions, sensors, electronics, controls, and AI. As their colleague, you will get the opportunity to develop skills in all of these areas and find unique solutions across domains. They design androids built to benefit society.

Our client work with hardware, and as such, candidates need to be located in proximity to the office in Oslo or Moss.

A relocation package will be provided to the candidates who are willing to relocate to Moss.

We are looking for an experienced Softgoods Engineer, Robot Design for their growing team.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Design soft polymers, silicone and textile parts for NEO
  • Own all softgoods related systems, working with the rest of the hardware team to bridge aesthetics and functionality of softgoods parts
  • Define manufacturing methods and evaluate suppliers together with our Supply Chain team
  • Build Softgoods as a core competence in the company long term


Candidate Requirements

Must-Haves

  • Experience designing and building softgoods products
  • Expert in CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Experience working with surfacing, complex geometry, organic designs, or topology optimization
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques for mid and high volume
  • Experience selecting soft polymers for consumer products
  • Understanding of highly dynamic environments where balancing competing priorities and timelines is needed


Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience bringing complex products from concept to production
  • Experience in hand/end-effector design, specially tactile sensors integration
  • Experience in clothing design
