About the Position:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to be responsible for the interchange of data between our servers and end-users. You will work with colleagues to develop and iterate back-end functionality.

As a member of the Cloud and Connectivity Business Unit at Cologix, you will be part of a talented group, dedicated to designing, building, and delivering a best-in-class, software-defined network (SDN) exchange platform, which will provide the next-generation of cloud connection and digital Meet-Me-Room (MMR) services to our customers. Working together, your team of cross-functional Developers, Network Engineers, Analysts, and Technical Specialists will turn customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and creative ideas into products and features that are open, accessible, completely transparent, highly efficient, wildly scalable, and incredibly effective. Collectively, you will be responsible for delivering a universal connection platform that is, to our customers, valuable, intuitive, and competitive. This is a top priority of the business, and as such, you will be expected to act as a customer advocate, ensuring that this is the solution that our customers both want and need.

What you do daily:

  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code
  • Develop and manage server-side components   
  • Design and deploy high-performance applications
  • Incorporate data protection and cybersecurity measures
  • Identify and implement data storage solutions
  • Perform diagnostic tests, fix bugs, and provide technical support to users 
  • Document software development processes and prepare project reports
  • Provide suggestions for improvement and apply them to daily tasks and processes

What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • In-depth knowledge of PHP, Python, or JavaScript
  • Strong proficiency in asyncio, FastAPI, Node.js, and Laminas Mezzio
  • Solid expertise in AWS, Lambda, WebSockets, containers
  • Strong Linux: CLI, bash scripting, and log review with cat, tail, head, grep, awk and sed
  • Attention to detail, especially in identifying and fixing errors
  • Good understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Proven background in databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools
  • Experience with network automation using the nornir framework or similar is a plus
  • Knowledge of NetSuite ERP & CRM and related programing scripting languages – SuiteScript and SuiteTalk is a bonus
  • Code profiling experience a plus
  • A drive to find the best solution for our customers

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.

Salary Range

$80,000—$140,000 USD
