We're seeking a Software Engineer I to join our team in Azure, focusing on enhancing Azure's customer experience. This role involves working on our Customer Troubleshooting platforms within the Azure portal, aiming to provide AI-powered, relevant and efficient troubleshooting solutions to customers. Our goal is to cut support cost and boost efficiency.

Your responsibilities include developing AI-driven customer experiences and ensuring key engineering KPIs. You'll collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Partners, and Customers, using technologies like C#, Azure, Service Fabric, Web API, Kusto, React, and JavaScript. Responsibilities

  • Building platform and experiences for Azure customers to empower them with best-in-class products and services.
  • Working with Azure Product/Service teams and customers to implement scalable self-serve solutions.
  • Ensure high quality, secure, scalable and performant code.
  • Support customers and livesite in a DevOps model.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in full software development life cycle, including coding standards & best practices, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations, experience for distributed web applications


Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or python
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Full-stack developer with a proficient track record of shipping high quality products or services
  • Problem solving, design, coding and debugging skills.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for software development.
  • Experience building and shipping distributed web services
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.) 
  • Expertise in one or more web application dev frameworks like Angular, Knockout, React, etc.
  • Drive for execution and results, while delivering quality software for large scale projects. 
Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
