Software Engineer, Robotics Simulation

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop robotic simulation environments for supporting SW development and ML training.
• Evaluate simulation options based on customer needs.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers to validate accuracy of simulation.
• Work with a cross disciplinary team to identify software and electrical requirements and architecture based on customer needs.
• Quickly prototype and determine feasibility of design and technology.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Work with management to develop timelines and work schedules.
• Coordinate cross team engineering tasking.
• Provide technical guidance to other software engineers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrates a strong team spirit, working to achieve team goals and maintain high team morale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years’ of demonstrated experience in robotics simulation.
• Knowledge of multiple OTS physical simulation environments (Issiac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo)
• Experience with C++ and Python
• Appreciates good software design process.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain/teach technical concepts to others.
• Actively involved in developing a good software design process
