Software Engineering Manager

Our client in the transportation industry is seeking a highly-motivated Manager of Software Development to join their team!

Location: This role will be primarily onsite in Cary, NC (in the Raleigh-Durham area).

Salary: Up to $160,000 + bonus potential

Here's what you'll be doing:

• This is a leadership role with director-level responsibilities. You will be leading software development teams in the design, development, integration and support of software products and systems.
• Manage end-to-end delivery, from requirements to post-implementation.
• Lead project planning, execution, and resource management.
• Resolve issues and risks, support application operations.
• Gather requirements and create business cases.
• No hands on coding, but expected to engage in technical conversations

Here's what our ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent credentials/experience.
• 7+ years working in a software development environment; prior hands-on software development experience is a plus but not required
• 2 years software development management/team lead experience (Director-level experience is a plus)
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Understanding of Java or .NET
• PMP or willingness to obtain PMP after hire is required
