Software QA Analyst

THE ROLE

We are seeking a software quality assurance analyst to join our Payments team. This position will be testing APIs and backends. This position will work closely with engineering on a talented team creating exceptional software.

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:

• You write clear and complete test plans and test cases
• You perform unstructured exploratory testing
• You work closely with the team to ensure software requirements are fulfilled
• You work with with a team of developers and QA analysts to debug problems and production issues
• You enjoy working with and directing remote testing teams
• You are passionate about Quality, while also being able to prioritize items with a higher value/impact
• You love collaborating with other people and leave your ego at the door
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience
• Experience with and Understanding of QA methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with testing APIs, using Postman or a similar tool
• The desire and capacity for learning quickly in a fast paced environment, while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with high scale, distributed, 24x7 systems and applications
• Experience with SQL in a transactional application
• Experience with Linux platforms
• Familiarity with basic Accounting and banking concepts or experience testing eCommerce platforms
• Self-starter with can-do attitude who has relentless drive to improve quality
• Team player with strong written and oral communication skills
  
  

WITHIN 1 MONTH YOU WILL

• Complete company onboarding
• Work with other engineering and QA teams during a rotation
• Run test scenarios using the major components of our products
  
  

WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU WILL

• Write and execute test cases for features
• Review other testers’ test cases
• Execute and review automated test results
• Follow deployment standards and perform QA deployments
  
  

LONG TERM

• Triage workflows and gate-keep releases
• Fully manage product releases from beginning to end all the way to Production
• Prioritize work for remote testers and triage issues
• Coordinate cross-team releases
• Progress in your career path

The annual base salary for this role is $75,000 - $130,000. Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Stock Options are also part of the compensation package for full time roles.
