Solar Field Supervisor

About this opportunity:

You will be responsible for Interviewing, Hiring, and Training solar roof installation and electrical professionals for the purpose of excellent solar installations on residential properties wishing to go solar with Dawn to Dusk. Will also manage, oversee, hold to highest quality the installers, and shall perform weekly safety briefings, ensure proper stocking of PPE equipment, and oversee quality of safety and installations. Manage job sites and provide on site training, regular check-ins, as well as continuing education. Shall also be responsible for firing, retraining, or reprimanding installers who are out of compliance.

Please keep the above agreement in mind with regards to safety training, PPE equipment, quality of installations, and continuing education for the teams.

Further responsibilities:

The primary expectation of this role is to maintain quality work by all installers and electricians. You will review site survey photos and call out any roof issues or non-electrical issues. The current status of our teams is that they do good work, but need to be checked-up on. You will be expected to check in person on installations and make sure that the work being completed is to plan (unless plans need to be changed in which case this is to be approved with Master Electrician, homeowner, or relevant leadership), to code, and to our highest level of quality. The crews must properly communicate with homeowners, electrical work must be done efficiently and cost effectively. Material lists should be approved by you and should keep cost, quality, and efficiency as priority.

  • Materials lists must be approved by you
  • No less than a 90% pass rate on inspections
  • Minimum avg install size/day of 10kw/crew*
  • Average touch points at home per install - 3 (survey, install, inspection)
  • Photos must be uploaded daily and accurately
  • 3x daily check-ins required by crew leads and electricians
  • report cards and project books used daily by crew members and electricians There is bonus potential for hitting all above metrics
  • based on potential kw installed, no penalty for insufficient opportunity to install

All installers and electricians will report to you and you will be responsible for their work. You will be tagged in our CRM.

Compensation for the Field Supervisor role is currently targeted at approximately $85,000/year. There is potential for an additional ~$20k in bonuses for hitting all targets.
