Key Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Capture and Proposal Development:
    • Collaborate with business development teams to identify and capture new opportunities with US Federal civilian customers in cloud operations and application modernization.
    • Develop technical solutions and architectures for proposals, ensuring they meet client requirements, comply with federal standards, and align with industry best practices.
    • Write and review technical sections of proposals, including solution descriptions, architectures, and implementation plans tailored for federal clients.
    • Engage with potential clients to understand their needs, present solutions, and address technical questions specific to the federal sector.
  • Solution Architecture and Implementation:
    • Design and implement cloud-based solutions that support federal business requirements and drive digital transformation initiatives.
    • Lead the modernization of legacy applications by adopting cloud-native architectures and technologies.
    • Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, technical standards, and best practices for cloud operations and application modernization in the federal sector.
    • Ensure security, scalability, and performance considerations are integrated into all architectural decisions.
  • Delivery Support:
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the delivery team upon contract award, ensuring successful implementation of proposed solutions for federal clients.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with a focus on cloud operations and application modernization for US Federal civilian customers.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go) and development frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with federal regulations, compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP), and security requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Certifications in relevant cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
