Position Summary

As a Solutions Engineer at W Energy Software, you will report directly to the Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering and play a crucial role in supporting our sales organization. Your technical expertise and industry experience in the oil and gas sector will be pivotal in the pre-sales activities, including performing data and customer analysis, conducting market research, identifying customer pain points, and developing tailored solutions. You will manage workflows and proposals while collaborating with key stakeholders to map out and demonstrate the value of our industry-leading cloud-based, unified energy ERP system.

In this dynamic role, you will continuously learn and grow, enjoying the autonomy to make important decisions with the support and guidance from your team. The position can be remote or based at our headquarters in Houston, TX. Responsibilities

  • Identify customer pain points and develop tailored solutions.
  • Build and present customized solutions and demonstrations focused on W Energy’s products to multiple customer personas showing how W Energy will accelerate their business strategies and a path to value.
  • Provide product demos and solution overviews to support the sales process.
  • Present software solutions and engage in public speaking events/trade shows.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to map out and demonstrate the value of our products.
  • Work with sales and product teams to ensure alignment across departments.
  • Develop technical solutions to solve data, systems, and application problems for clients.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient processes.
  • Communicate effectively to build trust with current and potential clients.
  • Perform data and customer analysis.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends and opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Upstream oil and gas, preferably in the Production Accounting or Field Operations space.
  • Strong technical and functional knowledge in the energy sector.
  • Experience with energy software, including product innovation and implementation processes.
  • Understanding of corporate and business challenges in the oil and gas industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting, business development, or product management within energy software or the oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, particularly about the energy business and W Energy Software.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, analysts, and other stakeholders.
  • Corporate and vendor experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas business, with specific experience in areas such as oil and gas production accounting or field operations.
