Sound Designer

Apex Systems is seeking a Technical Sound Designer for one of our Technology clients. This role will be a 6-month contract and will sit on-site hybrid schedule in Seattle or the San Fran Bay Area! If interested, please apply directly to the posting.

Job Title: Technical Sound Designer

Client: Can disclose over the phone

Location: Hybrid schedule on-site - Seattle or San Fran Bay Area

Duration: Contract through December 2024

Required Experience:

• Experience with AR/VR/MR design tools (Spark, Snap Studio, Horizon Worlds)
• Experience with audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD)
• Experience with coding and/or scripting (JavaScript, C#, Python, etc.)
• Experience with technical sound design and implementation.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal).
• Ability to record in a studio and on location
• Post-production skills, including editing and mastering
• Knowledge of acoustics, equipment set-ups and calibration
• Ability to mix in a variety of formats, including spatial audio
• Video editing skills (Premier Pro, Final Cut, Avid, etc).
