Sourcing Manager, Corporate Spend NA

The Sourcing Manager, Corporate Spend works collaboratively with stakeholder groups across North America to create and implement strategic sourcing strategies, events and contracts. You will provide procurement leadership, support and expertise in the areas of supplier negotiations and contract development for corporate areas of spend, as well as being an effective collaborator and support within the procurement department. In addition to supporting functional initiatives from a Purchasing perspective, you will also act as project-leader for Purchasing cost-savings initiatives on behalf of the organization, targeting annual cost reduction across key spend areas.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Working closely with corporate stakeholders and leaders within the business; building sourcing strategies for key categories, analyzing user needs, and identifying potential new supply sources.
  • Running transparent tenders, developing multiple sourcing options and constructing clear business proposals.
  • Developing negotiation strategies and achieving internal alignment to the strategies
  • Negotiating purchase agreements with vendors that meet the needs of the business from a commercial and risk management perspective. Strong understanding of key contract language to ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage contract renewals and amendments as needed.
  • Providing strong leadership on assigned categories and being regarded as the internal expert.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business goals.
  • Working with global counterparts on achieving synergies and cost-reduction opportunities. Developing a key understanding of global and local needs; representing and negotiating on behalf of North America requirements.
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships. Appraising vendor performance through KPI’s and regular performance reviews.
  • Performing Data Analysis and Reporting – collect and analyze data related to supplier performance, compliance and cost savings. Ability to generate reports and presentations, highlighting key metrics, trends, and achievements.
  • Meeting annual cost reduction targets in assigned categories

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a procurement role.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Ability to conduct complex administrative studies, analyze processes and issues, and develop recommendations for improvement or resolution.
  • Team player capable of dealing with many internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • A highly energetic individual, ability to multitask and prioritize projects, and find creative solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools esp. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Oracle ERP
  • Ability to track and resolve issues regarding Value Realization on specific projects and solutions
