Responsibilities OBXtek is recruiting Space Acquisition SME's for the Acquisition Delta-Strategic SATCOM (CGS), Space Systems Command. This position will provide acquisition support to the Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) Ground Systems, Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) Space Systems, and Enhanced Polar System Recapitalization (EPS-R) offices within Strategic SATCOM. You will support the Military Communication & Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (MilCom & PNT) Directorate. MilCom & PNT is responsible for meeting a broad range of acquisition capabilities and execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition activities. This position interacts with civilian Division Chief and Directorate leadership daily. The individual will provide personnel management support to Space Force customers in El Segundo, CA. Key duties associated with this position include:

  • Support the development, procurement, data collection, usage, modification/enhancement, implementation, integration, testing, documentation, verification, validation, protection and maintenance of tools, processes, guidelines, methodologies, models, simulations, databases, web sites, reports and applications to support the execution of the acquisition and sustainment programs.
  • Assist with business operations by extracting program specific information, assessments, analysis, and reviews.
  • Analyze and advise on various phases of the planning, programming, budgeting and execution process for specific programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and update instructions, implementation guides, charters, and standardized processes.
  • Apply critical thinking and experience to develop solutions for our customer's most challenging issues.
  • Build weekly reports and briefings.
  • Create documents and staff packages.
  • Understand Department of Defense, Air Force, and Space Force organizations, processes, procedures, instructions, and guidance.
  • Support customer meetings, which includes providing read-ahead materials, drafting meeting minutes, and tracking assigned action items. Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Salary Range : $150,000 - $225,000k/year Qualifications US Citizen and possession of a current Top-Secret Clearance Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Statistics
  • APDP Level III or equivalent
  • 17+ years of experience, including 3 years within space arena.
  • Expertise using MS Office applications and DoD, Air Force, and/or Space Force training tools Preferred Qualifications:
